How to use this blog

 VIEWING PHOTOS

When viewing a walk, if you click or tap on a photo it will open in a larger format, and at the bottom you see a strip that shows all the photos for that walk.

Using your left/right arrow keys will move to the previous/next photo. Click/tap on the X at the top right corner to close and go back to the original view.

Of course, if you view all the photos using this method, you miss all the witty captions.

 VIEWING PAST WALKS

The blog displays the two most recent walks. If you want to see past walks, you can do it in two ways.

Firstly, on the Right upper corner you see the Blog Archive. This lists the walks by year which you can open by clicking. It then shows the month followed by the number of walks that month in parentheses.

Blog Archive

Secondly,  on the Right hand side, but lower down you will see the Walk Index.

This lists the walks and have the year of the walk on the end of the title.
Click on the walk you want to see, and it will load all the description and photos, map, Google Earth, and the report.

Walk Index

In both cases,  clicking on Home at the bottom of the page will return you to the latest walk.

Going Home

Older walks are gradually being added. These mainly have brief descriptions, mainly due to memory problems. Mine, not the computer.

I also recommend looking at any of the GOOD SITES TO FOLLOW, also on the right hand side. One of the most interesting is the one called:
HIKING IN SOUTH EAST TASMANIA.

NOTE: If you can't click as you're using a Tablet, then tap & swipe.

DOWNLOAD GPX FILES:

I'm adding a facility to download GPX files gradually to each walk. It will usually be at the end of the description and will display the following text in red:

Click here to download GPX file

Clicking on that will allow you to download the GPX track from that walk and load it onto your personal GPS device.

NEW WALK RATING

I've started a new walk rating. If any snakes are spotted on a walk, the picture below will appear at the top of the page.
