MacGregor Peak - Murdunna 2020

Thanks to Pete & Ron for the notes and track information for this walk.

Jack

Here are the notes for the MacGregor Peak

walk.

We were a very small group today of only

seven and we walked 9.5km in approx. 5hrs

led by Bob on a walk that some of us have

done previously.

It is an interesting walk with the odd “Wee

Hill”.

The most enjoyable part of this walk is the

period of time that is spent walking through

the rain forest across the top of MacGregor

Peak. It is not the king of forest that one

would normally associated with the Tasman

Peninsular.

It is also worth noting that the area of

rain forest is surrounded by a working forest

that has been logged for a long period of

time.

Comments from those undertaking this walk

were all positive and those who had not

visited this area before were pleasantly

surprised about the rain forest.
