Today we're starting off at Seven Mile Beach and walking towards Lauderdale. It's overcast but the temperature is supposed to reach 19C. Tas is our leader.
Parking next to the beach, we gear up, elbow our way through the crowd, turn right and start walking.

Once more unto the beach |
I'm just trying to bring a little culture to our blog.
You can see the crowd. There's a figure way down the beach |
Lots of interesting sponges and seaweed on the beach |

Don't worry, they've been trying for years and haven't lost me yet. Well, maybe once.
We're heading for steps and a track up to the path |
It's the beginning of the coastal track heading towards Roches Beach.
Pleasant walk with fleeting views to our left |

Primrose Sands on left and Green Head on right |
I think.

Open walking now with Single Hill to our right |
This is a shared use track, but we only saw a couple of people using it |
Nice, secluded little beach |
In the past, we've stopped here for Morning Tea, but we're about 30 minutes too early this morning. So, on we go.
We come to houses built above the track, some of which have access to what amounts to their own beach.

Nice spot... |
...and nice beach below |
We shortly come to a junction of tracks and a decision has to be made. Actually, it's already been decided as I remember Tas saying last week he'd been instructed to have at least one hill. I can't imagine who had given Tas those directions. Anyway, up we go and it adds an interesting spike on the report slide below.

Mays Point in the middle distance |
Looking the other direction we can see Mt. Wellington |
We start down beside the fence |
We don't go to the top of Single Hill as that's private property at the moment. I believe the owner is fine with walkers, but has strongly worded signs to ward off shooters and motorbikes.
At the bottom of the hill we cross Axom Way and pick another track.
This is looking back where we've come from |
We cross over here for a short walk to another track |
Sue's found a new friend |
We follow the track around until we pick up Roches Beach Road and follow it to our lunch spot.
This looks serious |
Tas and the tanned Adie consult a map. As they were doing this, there were lots of comments and guffaws coming from off to the right. They were all from one source, one that doesn't hold with maps. However, it wouldn't be fair to name that source, would it Bob?
I should mention that the Adie has just returned from running around Europe, and picked up his tan in the U.K.! Adie's also brought his singing voice back so our walks are now filled with bits of song as we travel.
Assured we're on the right road, we continue on towards the beach and lunch.
The lunch spot |
There is a sheltered picnic table and lots of rocks to sit on. Or, you could go down to the beach.
This is right on the beach |
Tannin stained water in a shallow creek/drain.
We used to get a lot of these at Woodbridge |
From memory, it's a skate egg case. Lunch finished we continue on a new section of track which will return us to our cars.
New section of trail |

One of the houses we pass |

Tas out front leading the way |
Quite a well done construction over a wet area (in the winter) |
Not all galahs are in government |
Back to Seven Mile Beach |
We had 12 walkers and covered 10.66km in 3:28hrs. This is a very pleasant walk and there can be many variations because of the number of horse trails there are.
