South Lea Walk 26 Aug 2020.
Today started cold and sunny with a cloud cover the top of Mt
Wellington.
We parked in one of the rear car parks at Hobart College and as Chris
commented
on arrival “I think the quality of the students cars has
improved a lot”.

Ready to go

We headed off down the hill in a southerly direction taking a number
of tracks and fire-trails that crisscross this area until we
commenced the first descent where we proceeded with an off track
experience avoiding a new house that has been constructed across our
original entry point to the area.

This was not here last time
|
It was interesting to note the amount of flowing water in the area as
we have visited it a number of times but never with the ground being
as wet as it was today.
It was a pleasant walk on a sunny day with 13 walkers over 11.2kms
taking us close to 4 hours.
