Rokeby Hills, 12 Jan 2021

Bob is taking us on a walk through Rokeby Hills that commences within the suburb of Howrah along the waterfront and then ascends into the skyline between Howrah and Rokeby.

The starting point of today's walk

 Suburban track between the houses.

Mount Wellington from Rosny foreshore track.

The Foreshore Track

Mt Wellington with Incat's latest ship in the foreground.

Between the houses.

Climbing up above the houses.

On the top of the hills

Morning tea by the track and someone mentioned jackjumpers.

Walking the skyline.

Across the bay towards Dunalley and McGregors Peak.

Checking for fossils.

Heading back along the skyline on a different track.

Lunch views of Mt Wellington

Scrub bashing

Or seeking a better track.

That is better.

Descending from the skyline.

Back between the houses and nearing the end.

It was a very relaxed walk for a first walk of 2021 around the foreshore and hills of Howrah, Tranmere and Rokeby.

We had 9 walkers and travelled approximately 10 kilometers taking 3 hours.
