We are repeating a walk in the Panorama Track that we undertook a year ago to look at the Waratah's in all their glory.
The weather was supposed to quite mild but a little wet.
There appears to be a bit of enthusiam for the walk in the group.
Climbing out of the The Springs carpark.
Hakea Sericea - Bushy Needlebush.
Looking across a very calm Derwent River.
Mountain Pinkberry.
More views across the river.
The track meandering through all the different wildflowers that were in bloom.
The first Waratah although not yet quite open.
More Richea dracophylla.
New growth on the beech tree.
Looking down river.
Across to Bruny Island.
Underneath the Organ Pipes.
Looking across the city.
Native Pepper flowers.
Lichen growing on a tree trunk.
David improvising a seat from an upturned log.
More Waratah flowers before blooming.
and it's tree.
A well earned coffee at the cafe at the Springs with a cake for one of our more senior walkers.
And she is enjoying her coffee and birthday cake,
We had 18 walkers who covered 7.4 km and climbed and descended 300 meters in 4 hours.
It was a pity that the Waratahs were not quite out yet but the rest of the flowers made up for it.
Thanks to Mendelt for his map and photos.
