Battery Point Stroll - 16 Dec 2025.

 Our last walk for the year is a short walk around Battery Point to be led by Stephen.

 Stephen providing some background to the walkers prior to leaving Marieville Esplanade.

Heading down Billy Goat Lane.

Our leader had permission from the owners for the group to view the garden attached to "Ashfield" one of  the original properties in the area with part of the house dating from the late 1830's.

 

Alium cristophii or Star of Persia.

A pleasant spot for morning tea.

Returning to the cars on Marieville Esplande to finish the walk with a convivial Xmas lunch at Lower Sandy Bay.

 

 Where Micheal outshone the rest of the group with his Wine Trifle. 

A pleasant short walk enjoyed by 21 walkers with no need to record any stats.
