Rose Bay 24 Aug 2021

Today's walk takes us through the suburbs of Rose Bay, Montague Bay, Rosny, Gordon's Hill Reserve and back to Rose Bay.

The weather forecast is for a fine sunny day although when we reach the starting point at Rose Bay there is a strong wind coming straight of the water and it is fairly cool.

Heading along the track that leads under the Tasman Bridge.

The Tasman Bridge with Mt Wellington in the background.

Looking through the monument towards the section of the bridge that collapsed in 1975 after being struck by the ship "Lake Macquarie".

Heading up Rosny Hill.

Looking down the Derwent River from Rosny Hill towards Storm Bay and Bruny Island.

Bellerive and Kangaroo Bay from Rosny Hill.

Bob and others checking that no-one is taking any shortcuts down the zigzag path from Rosny Hill. As if anyone would.

Crossing Rosny Hill Road to view the Rosny Farm Art Centre and Rosny Barn.

Walking up Kangaroo Bay Rivulet which although its not yet spring there is blossom on some of the trees.

Some of the local wildlife using the Clarence Council  facilities.

Although its a seat carved out of the sandstone I think Chris is trying to impress Sally with his driving skills or maybe it's the size of a fish he caught.

Lunch spot in Gordon's Hill Nature Reserve.

It's either a discussion about fishing or the politics of the day.

The view from the pedestrian bridge crossing East Derwent Highway looking towards the cars parked at the end of the street.

16 Walkers covered approximately 9kms in 3.5 hours.
