Today Marilyn is leading the walk in an area we haven't been to before - through the Marion Bay Conservation area.
She immediately endears herself to the group by taking us up to the viewing platform and announcing that its time for morning tea.
View back to the carpark
Looking towards the oceanMorning tea over and off we go - Notice the UFO flying above our heads - I have no idea what it is - any suggestions?
We reach the start of the track
The track is still showing signs of the heavy rainfall we had on Sunday nightWhen Marilyn checked out the walk 2 days earlier she was able to walk on the sand when the track ended - today however it's a completely different story with the high tide forcing us to take off our boots and wade through the water.
After about 500m we were able to leave the water. Comments such as .."Marilyn wasn't kidding when she said bring your swimmers" and "even Bob never made us walk through this much water" were muttered by longer serving members of the group.
We make our way around the point towards our lunch spot
Erosion is evident
Found on the beach
Can you put a name to these legs?
Almost back to the cars with the viewing platform visible
Thanks Marilyn for leading a very relaxed walk which was enjoyed by all. 15 walkers took just under 3 Hours to cover 7.5kms
This must be the first time that our elevation profile has gone below sea level
