We are walking from Trial Bay to Kettering and around the D'Meure Track to the headland of Little Oyster Bay and return.
As a result of a rainy start to the day the group enjoyed a coffee at the Margate Train hoping while they did that the rain would ease before we arrived at Trial Bay and it worked.
Ready to start the walk.
even though the weather looks a little bleak.
A sculpture at the beginning of the track has been installed by Kingborough Council as part of their Sculpture Trail.
Rain drops on the Native Cherry trees.
The locals have made a number of marine art pieces at the lookout alongside the track.
The bruny Island ferry passing by.
Across the bay with all the pleasure craft on their moorings.
A couple off Black Swans amongst the boats.
Note this one standing on one leg with his foot tucked under his wing.
Heading along the old Channel Highway towards the D'Meure Track.
On the track now.
Looking down the Channel towards the lower part of Bruny Island.
Our rocky lunch spot.
Climbing back up from the lunch spot for the return walk.
A not very shy Pardalote watching us as we walked passed on the track.
We had eleven walkers who covered 10.4 kms over 4 hours with very little climbing. A pleasant days walk especially after the rain lifted with some sun coming out later in the walk.
Thanks to Chris and Mendelt for their extra photos and map.
