Pelverata Falls - 30 June 2026

Despite some early morning rain and a forecast of frequent showers during the day 10 hardy walkers came for today's walk to Pelverata Falls.
In the car park almost ready to go.

Just what is required - a good pep talk before the start of a walk!

Initially the route follows a wide fire trail with a gentle climb.

Something weird is going on here - is Tim actually a robot?

Some serious discussions!

Our first bridge for the day

Morning Tea

Soon after the morning tea stop the track narrows, becomes rocky and has some steep climbs

Slippery falls in the distance looking spectacular with a decent flow of water

And around the bend we get a view of Pelverata Falls which also has a good flow of water

Happy group on the viewing platform

Our return journey and the steep slope is evident

Some of the flora and fungi we passed on the walk

Natures tuning fork!

As today's  walk was relatively short it was decided to have a look the North West Bay River Trail which starts at Sandfly (we pass this on our way home).

Are we going in the right direction?

We follow made  trail till we reach the river  - recent rain made crossing this out of the question so after a look we decided to return via the Sandfly oval.

We complete this short walk by returning to the cars via the Sandfly oval.

The first part of today's walk to  Pelverata Falls was about 6 kms and the bit along the North West Bay River Trail about 3 kms.
