Adamsons Falls - 25 Jun 2024

The last time we walked into Adamsons  Falls it was the middle of summer so today's walk should be somewhat different.

No one remembers this sign being here.

The start of the walk follows an old logging track.

Then someone remembers the obstacles across the track.

 The snapper got snapped.

This fallen tree was an attraction last time so we took a few more photos.

A tree root looking like a skeletons knee and leg.

And the mud commenced.

The first of numerous fungi.

In places the track is very pleasant to walk through.

There are a large number of big trees including some very big Myrtle trees.

Climbing heath (Prionotes cerinthoides). Still a few flowers on the bushes.

The lower portion of one of the larges Myrtles.

Bracket Fungi.

And the same tree from three and half years ago.

And the track goes up and down over the last part before the Waterfall.

 Clambering down to the waterfall.

and out on the shelf below the falls.

Adamsons Falls.

Looking from the waterfall base out through the forest.

The water continuing down the next step in the falls.

Heading back to the cars.

Helping untangling sun glasses.

A happy group checking their muddy boots.

The walk covers a variety of  forest types  and land forms in a short walk and was enjoyed by all on the day.

There were 16 walkers who covered just under 7 kms  in 4.5 hours.

Thanks to Ingrid, Michael and Chris for the extra photos.
