Today's walk will be from Waterfall Bay to Clemes Peak. The forecast is for a temperature of around 20, clear skies and only a lazy breeze. Perfect walking weather.
In the car park preparing for the walk .. with Chris going in the wrong direction
View of Waterfall Bay from the lookout. In the foreground is a tourist boat .. we saw a number of them throughout the day. The Hippolyte rocks are the small speck which can be seen in the distance.
A close up with Clemes Peak (today's destination) in the background
Off we go and Morris signs us in
We head off towards Waterfall Bluff .. this part is mostly uphill with some great views along the way
Looking south .. Cape Hauy, The Lanterns and The Candlestick in the distance
Looking north .. Pirates Bay in the distance
Morning tea over we continue .. here we reach the track junction and this is where the serious climbing starts
We get a glimpse of the ocean .. Hippolyte Rocks in the distance
Taking the track to Clemes Peak
Shortly after we reach the top .. and its lunch time in the sun
It took a bit of persuasion (it was so nice relaxing in the sunshine) but eventually we start our return journey.
